Due to previous and current Government restrictions, Girls on Hills has had to postpone/reschedule a number of courses due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Participants on impacted courses have been notified by email. Many of our events and courses are now able to run.

As ‘organised sporting events’, courses offered through Girls on Hills are exempt from the ‘Rule of Six’ by way of the Return to Play Protocol. Girls on Hills will observe all Scottish Government guidelines and restrictions on our event, and are at present following best practice advice as set out by Mountain Training (Scotland): and

The Coronavirus outbreak is an unprecedented and constantly changing situation, leading to a great deal of uncertainty for the weeks and months ahead. We anticipate that this situation may be extended to other courses as the restrictions change or are reimposed. We will do our best to keep customers updated by email, about the impact that any changes will have on our events and courses. Those attending or considering a Girls on Hills event should refer to our Covid-19 Policy here.

If your event has not yet been cancelled but you wish to withdraw in the current situation, you may wish to consider converting your booking into a voucher to spend at a later date, or changing your reservation to a bespoke 1:1 booking with us later in the year. In this instance please email us with your request. If wish to cancel outright, then our normal T&Cs apply. Our Cancellation Policy can be found online here:

We will notify participants about any cancellations by email. If you are unsure of whether your course has been cancelled, just get in touch. Please be reassured that Girls on Hills is closely monitoring official advice from the UK Government and Scottish Government.

Guidance is changing very rapidly and we will of course cancel all Girls on Hills events if required to do so. In this instance, we would be in a very difficult position as a small business and would appreciate your understanding and help in sharing the burden of the situation. We will make clear the options available to you when we contact you by email about course cancellation.

Occasionally our emails go to junk mail folders, so please keep an eye on these, and on our Facebook page. We will be using email as our main method of communication – either from or through Eventbrite.

For the safety of others, please avoid non-essential travel and social contact. If you are feeling unwell, please follow NHS advice regarding your symptoms immediately:
